What a gorgeous spring engagement session at the Botanical Gardens with a lovely couple. The weather was perfect, as so were the flowers! Check it out on our blog:
It was such a pleasure photographing the engagement session of these two. They were fun and happy their entire engagement session at the New York Botanical Gardens, and we cannot wait to continue to capture the happiness in their wedding. Alexa and Ramiro are a fun, and laid back couple. One of the things we love about them is how much they keep their faith in God relevant in their relationship. They actually met it church, while they were teenagers, and eventually their love grew to what it is today (How adorable is that?) During our initial meeting we only had the chance to meet Alexa and her sister in law, which is her maid of honor, and at that moment Alexa’s sweetness won us over. At that time Ramiro was in Texas for work, where he was pursuing his passion in piloting a airplane for aerial photography. While the chapter of his life has ended, and he will be in New York for good, we are so happy to know he will be piloting here in NYC. During this session we finally met Ramiro and were so thrilled with his fun personality. Alexa’s face really lights up when she sees him, and so does Ramiro’s. Their wedding will definitely be filled with love.
The Engagement Session Venue: The Botanical Gardens
While this couple was none the less gorgeous, the beautiful setting at the New York Botanical Gardens added on to the beauty of this session. We had done a maternity session here (link here), as well as a wedding in the fall (link here), and are always so happy to have this scenery as our backdrop. On another note, spring had definitely started here in New York and everything is looking oh so pretty! It was a bit colder than we would have liked (50 wish), but the trees have started to bloom giving us hope of better weather to come. Alexa and Ramiro were troopers with the weather and still had a great time with the session, despite the wind. Other than that, the light, and scenery were pretty perfect and we shot some beautiful images. It was so hard to pick our favorites, but here are a few:
